Join Bandit and Pablo on their adventures as adopted brothers. This book introduces these fun-loving siblings and tells their story about becoming a family. The beautiful illustrations pull readers into their world, and clever rhymes keep readers engaged. This story highlights some of Bandit’s and Pablo’s emotions from an adoptee’s perspective. Bandit and Pablo hope to shine a light on adoption and the feelings adopted kids may experience. This book is not just for adopted children; it is for any child who knows someone who is adopted.

  • The Adventures of Bandit and Pablo is a heartwarming picture book series for all children—especially those who are adopted. These stories celebrate the joy of family while also gently exploring the big feelings kids may have about identity, belonging, and love. Through clever rhymes, playful adventures, and beautiful illustrations, Bandit and Pablo offer young readers relatable characters they can laugh with, learn from, and feel connected to. Whether a child is adopted, knows someone who is, or is simply learning about different kinds of families, these books open the door to meaningful conversations in a way that’s fun and accessible.

  • The idea for The Adventures of Bandit and Pablo has lived in my heart for a long time. With the first book in this series, Bandit and Pablo give voice to the feelings I carried as an adopted child, the experiences I’ve walked through as an adoptive parent, and the challenges I’ve helped countless families navigate as a licensed therapist. These characters allow me to weave together my personal journey and professional insight into stories that help children feel seen, and help families feel supported.

  • I wanted to write a children’s book that gave adopted kids characters they could truly relate to—characters who experience the joy and love of being part of a family, but who also face the complex emotions that can come with being adopted. So many children’s books about adoption are told from the perspective of the parents or focus solely on why a child was adopted. While those stories matter, I felt something was missing: the child’s voice.
